Through our partnership with NRCS, programs are offered through various federal grants.

Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) which provides cost share funding for ranchers, fuel reduction, watershed protection, forest health and forest growth enhancement objectives.

Wildlife Habitat Improvement Program (WHIP) provides funding for wildlife habitat protection/enhancement on private lands.

The Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative (CCPI) is currently being funded. $2.5 million has been allocated to fund projects through the CCPI.   CCPI helps farmers and ranchers on agricultural and nonindustrial private forest lands achieve natural resource benefits such as clean air, clean water, productive soils and abundant wildlife. Click this CCPI link to read about the program.

After Fire Resources: The NRCS is offering assistance after the Butte Fire. If you were directly affected by the Butte Fire and want to replant (trees) or reseed (rangeland), help control brush, implement erosion control measures or replace range improvements that were burned in the fire you may be eligible for cost share assistance to install these practices from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. If interested please contact USDA-NRCS (209) 223-6528.  Click here for more information.
